Today is a special update about Alfie Evans a 23 month old toddler who is currently still in the Paediatric ICU
at Alder Hey in Liverpool UK.
The courts in the UK have inappropriately given permission to Alder Hey and the NHS to withdraw life support against Alfie's parent's wishes!
I have previously written about this here
COURTS IN THE UK AND THE NHS ARE KILLING BABIES BEFORE THEY HAD A CHANCE TO LIVE!
Alfie is being denied a chance to live and his parents are being denied parental rights to take him to another ICU in either Germany or Italy who are willing to give Alfie a tracheostomy and prolong his young and precious life!
Today I'm writing on behalf of Alfie's parents Tom and Kate who have been incredibly brave and fearless trying to save their son against what appears to
be a corrupt health and also judicial system in the UK!
Alder Hey PICU in Liverpool in the UK wants to kill Alfie on Monday April 23rd at 12pm local time and euthanize him by removing life support!
This act of cruelty has to stop!
PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL YOUR CONTACTS-
SUPPORT ALFIE EVANS ' FREEDOM OF CARE
Alfie Evans is a 23 month-old boy with an undiagnosed severe neurological condition hospitalized in intensive care unit for 15 months in Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
Alder Hey has been insisting since the beginning, to end his life by withdrawing all drugs and ventilation. The parents tried to protect their son and fought a difficult battle through the courts. Three hospitals in Italy and Germany have offered him care, and the Pope has advocated for his life, but Alder Hey refuses to let him go.
The British courts have ordered for Alfie to be terminated on Monday at 12 noon, by withdrawal of all drugs, then a heavy dose of midazolam to suppresses breathing and then withdrawing his ventilation so he suffocates to death.
Parents would like to have him on palliative care till the end of his life, decided by increase severity of disease and not by a
judge. They want their child to go to another hospital, in Italy. Police in front of his room and of Alder Hey prevents parents to move him towards this palliative care and keep him hostage.
Several legal ways are being attempted by his lawyers to have his right to be transferred respected despite all types of difficulties. Appeals to EU and to politicians have been made. Could more be done to
help Alfie and his parents?
And if you are a believer beyond praying for Divine intervention, for the souls of all involved and for changes of heart to preserve life ask yourself : have I done all I can as if Alfie was my child?
