Be more selfish if your loved one is critically ill in Intensive
Care
If your loved one has been admitted to Intensive Care the last
thing on your mind is usually yourself and your needs! The whole
world appears to revolve around your critically ill loved one and
their needs!
But guess what, what about your needs? What about the stress that
you're going through?
It's bad enough that your critically ill loved one is in Intensive
Care and requires treatment there.
You're already putting your heart and soul in there!
But you don't need to put more than your heart and soul into
supporting your critically ill loved one in Intensive Care and
I'm all for holding hands and talking to your loved one, even
if he or she is in an induced coma!
It certainly helps your loved one hearing a familiar voice
throughout their stay in Intensive Care, however one of the biggest
mistakes Family members of critically ill Patients in Intensive
Care make is that they don't look after themselves properly during
this stressful and overwhelming time whilst their critically ill
loved one is in Intensive Care.
