Quick Tip for Families in Intensive Care: ICU Pressurized Me to Give Up on My Husband, 12 Months Later He's Recovering! Never Give Up!
Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from
intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care.
So today, I have an email from a reader and also YouTube channel subscriber who
says,
“Hi Patrik,
A year ago, the intensive care team did their best to pressurize me to give up on my husband. I am glad I didn’t give in. After two months with the tracheostomy, my husband was slowly waking up. 12 months after, his vitals are stabilized. No jerking and no tremor. Currently, we are undergoing intensive physio and speech therapies. Please never give up hope.”
and that is from Tracy.
Well, Tracy, thank you so much for sharing this with me and also that I can share it here with our audience because I think it is so important that families in intensive care get hope. They get enough doom and gloom and negatively from intensive care teams because they want to stay in control of the narrative.
Well, it’s very good that you’ve created your own narrative and that I am able to share it here. It is all about making sure that families in intensive care get the best care and treatment.
Sometimes, whilst there’s a lot of good things happening in ICU, which I can certainly vouch for. I’ve worked in intensive care nursing for
nearly 25 years in three different countries where I also worked as a nurse manager for over 5 years. I have been consulting and advocating for families in intensive care for over 10 years here at intensivecarehotline.com. I started intensivecarehotline.com in 2013 to help families in intensive care. Clearly, that’s what we are doing here every day.
It is without
any exaggeration to say that we’ve saved many lives with our consulting and advocacy, and you can verify that on our testimony section at intensivecarehotline.com or by watching our podcast and time videos and interviews to verify that we have saved some of our clients lives with our consulting and advocacy.
Just by you watching these videos, you will get insights that 99.9% of families in intensive care will never have,
because they just go along to get along with intensive care teams without realizing that sometimes intensive care teams don’t have the best interest of your loved one at heart. They sometimes have the best interest of the hospital and employer at heart, which is to free up ICU beds, which is to maximize their revenue rather than focusing on what is really important for patients and their families. So, thanks again, Tracy, for sharing this story with us here.
So, because we get so many questions every day from families in intensive care, that’s why we created a membership for families of critically ill patients in intensive care here at intensivecarehotline.com. You can become a member by clicking
on the membership link or by going to intensivecaresupport.org directly. In the membership, you have access to me and my team, 24 hours a day, in a membership area and via email, and we answer all questions intensive care related.
In the membership, you also have access to exclusive content, 21 e-books and 21 videos, that’s only exclusively
available for our members, and it’s some of the best content that I created but it is only accessible for our members. This content will help you; these videos and e-books will help you to make sure you make informed decisions, have peace of mind, control, power, and influence so that your loved one gets best care and treatment.
I also offer one-on-one consulting and advocacy for families in intensive care. I talk to you and your families directly, and I offer that on Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, phone, whichever medium works best for you. I talk to you and your families directly, but I also talk to doctor and nurses directly, if you want me to. Once again, I ask all the
questions that you haven’t even considered asking but must be asked when you have a loved one in intensive care.
So, I also represent you in family meetings with intensive care teams, once again, making sure you have clinical representation and advocacy in a family meeting. I’ll make sure, once again, you make informed decisions, you have peace of mind, control, power, and influence so that your
loved one gets best care and treatment.
We also offer medical record reviews in real time so that you can get a second opinion in real time. We also offer medical
record reviews after intensive care if you have unanswered questions, if you need closure, or if you are simply suspecting medical negligence.
All of that, you get at intensivecarehotline.com. Call us on one of the numbers on the top of our website, or simply send us an email to support@intensivecarehotline.com with your questions.
